Cheryl Anne (Aguiar) Sachs, 38, of Swansea, wife of Alexander Victor Sachs, passed away at Mass General Hospital, Boston, after a lengthy battle with melanoma cancer. Born in Fall River, a daughter of Joao Oliveira Aguiar and Maria dos Anjos (Medeiros) Aguiar, both of No. Dartmouth, she was employed in the medical research industry, as a quality control supervisor with Tedor Pharma.

With a great sense of humor, and a giggle that was infectious, Cheryl had an upbeat personality and a positive spirit. She was always funny, cracking jokes and making people laugh – even while in the hospital. Happiest while gathering with family and friends, at pool parties & cookouts, she also enjoyed traveling, camping, kayaking, cooking, fine food and wine, and her dog, Lola.

Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by: two sisters, Rosalina Aguiar of Fall River, and Jennifer Matos (husband Menardo) of Lakeville; four nieces, Madeline, Clara, Emelia, and Anna; and two nephews, Zurab and Ivan; several aunts, uncles & cousins. Sister-in-law (on her husband's side) of Tatyana Sachs and Irina Minagorashvili, and daughter-in-law of Vera Sak, she was also a sister of the late Christopher Aguiar.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, May 22nd, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
