Christina "Tina" (Barboza) Amaral, 65, of Fall River, passed away on Friday. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Teixeira) Barboza. For 17 years she was employed by the Mass. Welfare Dept., working in both Fall River and Brockton. She greatly enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was the mother of Christina Amaral of Lincoln, RI and Steven Amaral of Fall River; sister of, Manuel Barboza Jr. and his wife Edna of Swansea, Victor Barboza and his wife Jackie of New Bedford, John and his wife Ester, Joseph Barboza and his wife Lina of Chicago, IL, Frank Barboza of Fall River, Tillie Hill and her husband Harry of Chicago, IL, Caroline Barboza of Douglasville, GA, Rosemary Reagan, Anna McDermott, Mary Barboza, Margaret Barboza and Penny Barboza, all of Fall River, brother-in-law Sonny Dias of Swansea; grandmother of Kaitlyn Monast, Justin Monast and Ashley Amaral, great grandmother of Allyson Monast, and was an aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Marianna (Badga) Dias, Peggy Richardson and George Barboza. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Pallbearers were Matt, Bobby, Paulie Barboza, Cori Garside, Albert Dias and Neil Dias. Cremation was private. Donations appreciated.
