Christina "Chrissy" Marie Amaral, 52, of Manville, Rhode Island, wife of Selena M. Durden, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Hope Health Center in Providence after losing her battle with long-term illness. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of Peter C. Amaral and the late Christina M. (Barboza) Amaral.

Prior to her illness, she was a manager at Hess Gas Stations for many years. An avid Washington-Redskins fan, she also loved the outdoors, the ocean, and traveling to such places as the Açores, Florida, Hawaii, and to her favorite destination, up on her family mountain in New Mexico. Christina was very active in all aspects of the Cub Scouts and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren most of all.

Besides her wife of twenty-three years, she leaves: her children, Justin P. Monast of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Kaitlyn (Monast) Wilson and her husband, Jacob, of Holden, Massachusetts, and Fallon C.R. Durden of Manville, Rhode Island; her three grandchildren, Allyson Monast, Brynn Monast, and Hunter Wilson; brother Steven Amaral, and Sarah Rebello Amaral of Albuquerque, New Mexico; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces, especially her beloved "brothers" Paulie and Kyle Barboza, "sisters" Heather Barboza and the late Rachel Barboza,  niece Ashley (Amaral) Almeida, and cousins Andrea Rapoza and Danny Rapoza, all of Fall River.

A visitation period was held on Friday, November 20th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in her memory to: Cub Scouts, Pack 711, Albion, Rhode Island.
