Christopher "Skid" Potvin, 49, of Fall River, died Wednesday, October 26 ^th , at St. Anne's Hospital. Son of Robert E. Potvin of Fall River and Arlene Nunes of Fairhaven. Chris was a lifelong resident of Fall River and had worked as a welder in the heat/air conditioning business. Chris had a quick wit and was very handy, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked. A motorcycle and nature enthusiast, he was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and NASCAR, especially driver, Jeff Gordon. Chris was a loving dad and pop-pop, a beloved son and brother, and a loving companion.  Besides his parents, Chris leaves behind his two daughters, Jennifer Farber (husband-Henry) and Cheyenne Potvin, both of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Robert, of Fall River; 2 sisters, Deborah Powers (husband-John) of Raleigh, NC and Dorene Akshar (husband-Fred) of Harpursville, NY; and his longtime companion, Mary Camara of Fall River. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Spencer. His cremation was private. A memorial gathering was held on Friday, October 28th, in our Fall River Chapel. His cremation was private.
