Fall River

Obituary

Claire G. Lapre, 80, of Fall River, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 14, 2021 in the comfort of her home. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Frank Camara and the late Ida (Bastille) Camara, she lived in Tiverton most of her life, and had also lived for some years in New York and on Cape Cod.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a nurse's aide for many years. But most notably, her true passion in life was her family and spending quality time with all of them.

She is survived by: seven children, Kenneth Lapre of Middletown, RI, David Lapre (wife Dawn) of Fall River, Elaine DaSilva of Swansea, Thomas Lapre of Fall River, Sandra Freitas of Fall River, Carol Pacheco (husband Joseph) of Fall River, and Gloria DeCilio (husband Michael) of Rehoboth; three siblings Victor Camara, Frank Camara, and Steve Camara; seven grandchildren, Robert Freitas, Derick Freitas, Amanda DaSilva, Nicholas DeCilio, Bella DeCilio, Jessica Pacheco, and Edward Pacheco; two great grandchildren, Brayden Pacheco and Jaxon Vacanti; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Michael Camara.

Special thanks to her niece and friend, Elizabeth Wood, who was always there to make Claire's life a little easier.

Private cremation arrangements were with the Silva-Faria Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Claire's memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005; 800-242-8721; www.heart.org
