Claire Leandro, 83, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday after a long illness. Husband of George Leandro, to whom she was married for 61 years. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Alcide and Zelphida (Houde) Lapointe. A retired textile worker, she was devoted to her family and enjoyed her many trips to Las Vegas. Claire was the beloved mother of Lisa Massey (husband-David), Michael (wife-Michelle) and Robert (wife-Sandra) Leandro; grandmother of Elyse, Nicholas, Jocelyn and Mark Leandro, Alyson and Zachary Massey; great grandmother of Lillianna Leandro and sister of the late Norman, Raymond and Aline Lapointe, Yvette Rogers, Martha Berube and Theresa Boyer. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, August 29th, in Holy Rosary Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
