Claire Marie (Barnabe) Lemay, 79, of Fall River, wife of Edward P. Lemay, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Charlton Memorial Hospital after an illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Ovila J. Barnabe and the late Aurore (Ringuette) Barnabe.

She was employed as a cook for over 10 years with the Fall River School Department, then at St. Vincent's Home for a number of years. She was a member of the former Notre Dame Church Parish. Claire enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to music and dancing, traveling to the Cape, and occasional trips to Foxwoods.

Besides her husband of 58 years, she is survived by: two children, Gerald E. Lemay (wife Jennifer) of Fall River, and Donald E. Lemay (wife Bobbi) of Bristol, RI; four siblings, Pauline Hickey of Swansea, Jean Tubman of Fall River, Claude Barnabe of Westport, and Gerald Barnabe of Quincy; two grandchildren, Cassandra Lemay and Logan Lemay; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service was held on Saturday, February 5th, following a visitation period in our Fall River Chapel. A private cremation followed. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Claire's memory to Forever Paws Animal Shelter, 300 Lynwood St, Fall River, MA 02721; 508-677-9154
