Clorinda A. Ventura, 79, of Somerset, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Somerset Ridge Nursing Center. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late James Ventura and the late Mary (Saraiva) Ventura, she resided in Somerset for the past 53 years.
She earned two master's degrees in education, one from Bridgewater State University and another from Lesley University, and was employed for many years as an elementary school principal in the Fall River school system, at the former Carrol, the former Pine, and the former Fowler schools. A longtime member of St. John of God Church, she had served the parish as a lector and catechism teacher.
Surviving her is a sister, Marina Ventura of Somerset, and several cousins. She was also a sister of the late Donald F. Ventura.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, November 17th in St. John of God Church, followed by a private committal at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Somerset.
