Obituary

Conceicao R. (Rodrigues) Cruz, 76, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2020 in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Pedro Cruz.

Born in Arrifes, St. Michael, Azores a daughter of the late Maria (Marques) and Joao Rodrigues. She was employed in the textile industry for many years for various companies.

A woman of faith, she was very devout to the 7 th Day Adventist Church Portuguese Congregation here in Fall River. Her family was the most important part of her life.

She is survived by: her 4 children, David Da Cruz and his wife Sirleuza, Nancy Botelho and her husband Clifford, Lauriene Duarte and her partner Igor Braga, and Wendy Souza and her husband Joseph, all of Fall River; 7 grandchildren, David, Amber, Alesha, Kyle, Abigail, Skyla and Cameron;  3 great grandchildren, Aliyah, Everleigh, Greyson and was expecting Ezra, her 4th great grandchild. She was the sister of Adelina Cabral of Fall River, Lucia Medeiros of Tiverton, Jose Rodrigues of New Bedford, Gilda Simoes of Rochester and Samuel Rodrigues of Tiverton. She was also the mother of the late Paul Gorge Da Cruz and sister of the late Maria Reis and Joao Rodrigues. At the time of her passing her brother Manuel Rodrigues was living, however prior to her services he passed away.

Following a public visitation period on Monday, November 23rd, her private funeral service was held in our Fall River Chapel followed by her private committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Family members are always grateful for relatives and friends wishing to make in-person expressions of kindness and support.
