Connie F. Luciano, 67, of Fall River, wife of Jorge V. Luciano, passed away on September 27, 2022, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Eduardo V. Furtado and the late Maria Jose (Rodrigues) Furtado, she emigrated to Fall River in 1970.

She worked in the local textile industry for many years, first the former Louis Hand, then at the former Quaker Fabric, retiring in 2007. Connie enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Besides her husband, of 48 years, she is survived by: three children, Susan Ferreira of Fall River, David Luciano (wife Amanda) of Westport, and Steven Luciano (wife Veronica) of Swansea; nine siblings, Eduarda Marques of Westport, Francis Valdao of Fall River, Margaret Kitchen of Somerset, Sara Valdao of Taunton, Joe Furtado of Fall River, Tony Furtado of Fall River, Alda Furtado of Fall River, Natalie Ayala of Arizona, and Gabriella Louks of Taunton; four grandchildren, Angelica Ferreira, Abigail Ferreira, Emiliana Luciano, and Oliver Luciano; two great grandchildren, Landon and Logan. She was also a grandmother of the late Jaime Ferreira, Jr.; and a sister of the late Maurice Valdao.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, October 1st, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
