Cremilde R. Torres, 78, formerly of Westport, passed away Thursday after a long illness. Wife of Manuel B. Torres. Born Sao Vicente, St. Michael, Azores; daughter of the late Manuel and Adelaide (Sousa) Rego. She was a retired textile worker. Beloved mother of Niveria Connie Pavao of Westport, Idalina Botelho, Lydia Camara and Carlos Torres all of Fall River; grandmother of Chad and Shannen Pavao, Christopher and Christina Paulino, Kevin and Eric Camara, Marisa and Jericha Torres. Cremilde also leaves 3 great grandchildren, a brother, several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, February 12th, in Santo Christo Church followed by a commital service at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River.
