Daciel Manuel Oliveira, 64, of Fall River, husband of Idalina (Silva) Oliveira, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital following a long illness. Born in Feteiras de Sul, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose Oliveira Martins and the late Maria Jesus (Elias) Martins.

Prior to his retirement he worked as foreman in the local construction industry for many years. He loved fishing, farming, and traveling to such places as Toronto, Florida, and back to his homeland to visit family. He also enjoyed participating in all aspects of the Holy Ghost procession and events.  Most important to Daciel was spending quality time with his family, especially his grandson, Gannon.

Besides his loving wife of forty-three years, he leaves his son, Jeffrey Oliveira of Fall River; his grandson, Gannon; one sister, Filomena Couto and her husband, Jose, of Fall River; his two brothers, Ramiro Martins (late wife, Gilda) and Jose Martins and his wife, Dorvalina, both of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Maria G. Cabral, David Martins, and Gilberto Martins.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, October 17th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
