Dale Vieira, 59, entered into eternal peace surrounded by family and loved ones on January 25, 2014. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Franco) Vieira. Dale was a rare and special person and you knew it while in her presence. She had a multitude of friends and caregivers; she radiated kindness, great wit and had a wonderful sense of humor. Dale was very special and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Dale was the loving sister of Steve Vieira (wife-Sueyon) of Taiwan, Arthur Vieira (wife-Robin Lynn) of Texas, Karen Vieira (fiancé-Dennis Close) and Gale Metcalf (fiancé-Scott Lampert) both of North Dakota, Robin Keidel (husband-Rusty) of Arizona, Jane St. Louis (husband-Gary) and Jan Jones (husband-Benjamin) both of Maryland and the late Robert P. Vieira. Dale will especially be missed by her adopted "mother" Kathy Esteves and "brother" Ryan Tavares and so many others of her extended family at Better Community Living Home in New Bedford. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, January 30, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
