Darleen
Camara
d. Aug 16, 2025
Darleen Camara, 66, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Born in Taunton, she was a daughter of the late James Camara and the late Catherine (Cordeiro) Camara.
Prior to her retirement she worked as a Career Specialist for many years. After retiring from that position, she worked in the cafeteria at Spencer Borden School. Darleen very much enjoyed her time at Spencer Borden, especially working with the children. An avid Celtics and Patriots Fan, she also loved crocheting, shopping, trips to the casino, and keeping an immaculate home. Always the "life of the party", she enjoyed laughing and dancing. Most notably, Darleen was a natural caretaker, a second "Mom" to many, and truly loved and relished the time she spent with her family, especially her son, siblings, and nieces and nephews. She was always willing and eager to help anyone in need. Darleen will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves her son Cory Matthew Camara and her siblings, Theresa Nunes (late husband, George) of Somerset, Linda Casey, Donna Camara, James Camara (Judy), John Brian Camara, and Christopher Paul Camara, all of Fall River. Darleen also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and two great-grandnieces. She was the aunt of the late Scott Casey.
Following a private cremation, a Prayer Service was held on Sunday, August 31st, during a visitation period in our Somerset Chapel.
