David A. Bourgeois, 52, of Fall River, husband of Rose M. (Viveiros) Bourgeois, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007 at St. Anne's Hospital after a short illness. Born in Fall River, son of the late William & Julienne (Metivier) Bourgeois, he was a lifelong resident of Fall River. A carpenter for many years, he enjoyed fishing, scuba diving & boating. Besides his wife, survivors include: daughter, Shannon Arpa of Fall River; siblings, Constance Wilks, Dennis Gosselin & Paulette Dussault all of Fall River, Gregory Gosselin and Ann Marie Roach both of Dartmouth, Robert Bourgeois of North Carolina, Leonard Bourgeois and Maurice Bourgeois both of Florida, William Bourgeois of Maine, Pauline Bondade and Alice Bourgeois both of California, Barbara Bourgeois and William Bourgeois both of Mattapoisett; grandchildren, Haley & Michael; many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Roger Gosselin and George Bourgeois. His Funeral Mass was offered on Saturday (10/27) in Sts Peter & Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church with committal services following at Notre Dame Cemetery. Father Manuel Ferreira officiated.
