David Ferreira, 56, of Fall River and husband of Angelina (Raposa) Ferreira, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2021 at St. Anne's Hospital after a long illness. Born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose da Luz and the late Antonia da Estrela (Cabral) Ferreira.

Prior to his illness, he was a forklift operator for a local manufacturing company for many years. An avid Benfica fan, he also loved watching UFC, fishing, scratch tickets and trips to the casino.

Besides his loving wife of thirty years, he leaves: his sisters, Fatima Ferreira and her husband, George Mello, of South Dartmouth, Rita Borges and her husband, Peter, of Fall River; his brother, Laurencio Ferreira and his wife, Jessica, of Fall River; many nieces and nephews; and his cherished cat "Rosie".

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, August 30th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
