Dean E. Maguire, 96, of Fall River (and N. Stratford, NH), life partner of Kathleen Lysyj, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.  Born in Groveton, NH, the fifth child of nine born to the late Harry L. Maguire and the late Rilma E. (Prince) Maguire, he resided in Fall River most of his life.

A US Arny veteran, Dean served his country honorably for three years during the Korean Conflict.  He was also a life member of the American Legion Post #17 of Groveton, and a member of the VFW. Prior to his retirement, Dean was employed as a mechanic with Hasbro Toy Co.  In addition to hunting and fishing, he also enjoyed snowmobiling.

Besides Kathleen, he is survived by: six children, Cynthia A. Maguire Wright (husband Allan) of Groveton, NH, Linda Marie Maguire (husband Daniel Roy) of Alton, NH, Sandra J. Maguire MacKillop (Stanley Skinner) of Whitefield, NH, Diana Maguire of MA, Dean Maguire and Harry Maguire both of NY; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was predeceased by his eight siblings, and a grandson, Michael MacKillop.

Private cremation arrangements were with Silva-Faria Funeral Home.  Committal Service and Interment of his cremains shall take place in Center Cemetery of Stratford, NH, on May 30, 2026.
