Deborah
Maciel
d. May 18, 2021
Fall River
Deborah Maciel, 61, of Fall River, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 after a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of Fatima (Furtado) Maciel and the late Jose Maciel.
Deborah was a Radiology Receptionist at Charlton Memorial Hospital for many years. An exceptional seamstress, she also loved crafting, camping, and NASCAR racing. She was hard working, had a contagious smile, and was a kindhearted woman who would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. But most notably, Deb was an amazing grandmother who loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending quality time with all of them, especially her precious grandchildren.
Besides her mother, she leaves: her three loving daughters, Christine DeTore and her husband, Michael, of Milford, Massachusetts, Stacie Field and her husband, Douglas, of Burlington, Massachusetts, and Cheryl Farias of Fall River; her grandchildren, Hyde Farias, Lilliana DeTore, Gabriella DeTore, Dylan DeTore, and Jessica Field; her three sisters, Linda Martins and her husband, Amadeu, of Assonet, Rosemarie Sullivan and her husband, Sean, of Somerset, and Fatima Melendez and her husband, Abraham, of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, May 22nd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her private committal at St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Deborah's memory to: The American Red Cross, 100 Niamtic Ave., Providence, Rhode Island, 02907, 401-831-7700.
