Deborah A.
Paulo
d. Mar 9, 2019
Somerset
Deborah A. (Carvalho) Paulo, 58, of Somerset, wife of Steven J. Paulo, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, March 9, 2019, after a yearlong illness. Born in Fall River, the daughter of Charles A. and Pauline T. (Phelps) Carvalho, of The Villages, Florida, she was a 1978 graduate of Somerset High School.
She worked as a registered nurse for many years at Charlton Memorial Hospital, and more recently was employed at VNA Care Resources of East Providence. Deborah's genuine kindness and extremely giving nature served her well as a nurse, who always cared above and beyond for her patients. She enjoyed the beach and boating with her husband, and lived life to the fullest. She relished time spent together with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, and parents, she is survived by: three children, Derek M. Furness (wife Kim) of Somerset, Valerie R. (Paulo) de Melo (husband Chris) of Somerset, and Angela B. (Paulo) Beaudoin (husband Ronnie) of Quincy; two siblings, Cristopher Carvalho of The Villages, FL, and David Carvalho of Tarpon Springs, FL; two (plus) grandchildren, Karaline, Penelope and one "on the way;" and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering was held on Wednesday, March 13th in our Somerset Chapel. Further arrangements were private.
