Deborah A.
Silvia
d. Sep 1, 2021
Deborah A. (Bergeron) Silvia, 65, of Fall River, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, after a long illness. Born in Fall River, a daughter of Patricia (Dupont) Bergeron of Fall River and the late Roland D. Bergeron, she was a lifelong resident of Fall River.
A graduate of B.C.C., Deborah earned her nursing degree and was employed for many years as a nurse case manager at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She loved her patients and was loved by many in return. A talented artist, she enjoyed painting ocean scenes and lighthouses; and she was well known for handcrafting miniature cottages out of perfectly chosen stones.
Besides her mother, she is survived by: her daughter, Katie Wyant (husband John) of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; two sisters, Karen Gay (husband David) of Lisbon Falls, Maine, and Cathy Bergeron (wife Charleen Hamilton) of Cochrane, Alberta, Canada; a grandson, Daniel Wyant; and two nephews, Patrick McCoy and Kenneth McCoy. She also leaves her dearest friends, Nelie & Tony Cabral of Fall River, and her 'brother/sister-in-law' Clifford & Denise Ponte of Fall River; and was the companion of the late Kenneth Ponte.
Following her cremation, a Memorial Gathering was held in our Fall River Chapel on Monday, September 13th. Her Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated the next morning in Holy Name Church followed by her committal and burial of her cremains at Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Deborah's memory to: the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St, Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701,800-227-2345, www.cancer.org ; or to Southcoast VNA, 200 Mill Road, Suite 120, Fairhaven, MA 02719; 508-973-3200
