Delores Paulino Bettencourt, age 76, died at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River on Monday, February 20, 2017, following an extended illness. She was the beloved wife of Anthony "Sonny" Bettencourt.

Born in Fall River, she was the only child of the late Antone Vieira and the late Mary (Souza) Vieira. A Fall River resident for most of her life, she had also lived in Montana for five years. Delores was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Fall River and was also a member of the former St. Mark's Episcopal Church for many years. She enjoyed dancing at the former Par 1 Club in Fall River and was a fan of Tom Jones, having met him on several occasions.

In addition to her husband, Sonny, surviving family members include her children, Donna Marie & Louie Pavao, Thomas Raymond & Donna Bettencourt, Anthony "Sonny" Bettencourt, Debra Ann & Thomas Proulx, Delores Ann & Todd Barreira, and Rhonda Bettencourt & William Nunn, all of Fall River. She also leaves nine Grandchildren and nine Great Grandchildren. Delores was also the grandmother of the late Marc Aaron Quintal.

Her Funeral was celebrated on Friday, February 24th, in the Church of the Holy Spirit followed by her committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
