Dennis "Dan" B. Souza, the husband Guilhermina "Kay" (Deus) Souza, passed away peacefully at Care One in New Bedford on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Dan was born in Fall River and was a son of the late Francisco and Constance (Medeiros) Souza. Mr. Souza was a manager for New England Poultry for many years.

Besides his wife of sixty-six years, he is survived by his grandson Mark Linhares of Florida; two great-grandchildren: Ryan Linhares and Rebecca Linhares, both of Tennessee; one great-great-granddaughter; and three sisters: Connie Bourget, Evelyn Gouveia, and Norma Moore; and his caregiver, Madeline Simmons. He was also the father of the late Kathryn Linhares, and was a brother of late Betty Gould, Tillie Jackson, Olive Bourget, Mary Silvia, Philomena Monte, Manuel, Tony, and Frank Souza.

Following cremation, his Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, August 18th, in St. Thomas More Church, Somerset, followed by the burial of his cremains in Nathan Slade Cemetery.
