Dennis Carreiro, 68, of Fall River, former husband of Olivia (Pais) Carreiro, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2024 following a long illness. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Joao Branco Carreiro and the late Maria (Aguiar) Carreiro.

Prior to his retirement he was a Warehouse Manager at Whaling Manufacturing for many years. An avid New England sports fan, especially of the Boston Bruins, he also loved soccer (Boavista), fishing, bowling, and tennis. Dennis enjoyed playing cards, trips to the ocean, and, most importantly, spending quality time with his family.

He was the father of the late Joel Carreiro. Besides his former wife, he leaves his loving daughters, Andrea and Monica Carreiro, both of Fall River; his four grandchildren, Tehya Carreiro, Jordan Garcia, Joel Melendez, and Benjamin Caouette; one brother, Manuel Branco and his wife, Palmira, of Fall River; his sister, Dialina Gamache and her husband, Donald, of Chelmsford, MA; and many nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, February 7th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church. A private cremation followed. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Dennis' memory to: The Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
