Deolinda C. Correia, 84, of Fall River, wife of the late Manuel Lopes Correia, passed away unexpectedly at Charlton Memorial Hospital on Saturday, October 12, 2019. Born in Arrifes, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose and Encarnacao (Rego) Cordeiro. She was a dedicated homemaker for many years for her loving family. A devout Catholic, she prayed the rosary and attended Mass on a daily basis. Most importantly, Deolinda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She leaves: her children, Mary Correia and her companion, Andy Vieira, of Swansea, Rosemary Mihalos and her husband, James, of Bristol, Connie Correia, Lucy Correia, and her companion, Timothy Britto, Paula Amaral and her husband, Eduardo, Manuel Correia and his wife, Lillian, and Antone Correia and his wife, Fatima, all of Fall River; nine grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley, Andrew, Tom, Iesha, Erica, Kyle, Sabian, and Kaydence; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Elijah; two sisters, Maria Ilda Cordeiro Costa (late husband, Domingos) and Sister Floripes Cordeiro, both of St. Michael, Azores; one brother, Jose Cordeiro and his wife, Margaret, of Canada; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Jesse Correia and sister of the late Maria Constantina Medeiros, Arseno Cordeiro, Jaime Cordeiro, and Manuel Cordeiro. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, October 17th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
