Deolinda R. Silva, age 89, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. She was the widow of Antonio L. Silva. Born in the village of Agua Retorta, on the island of St. Michael in the Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria C. Raposo Branco. She worked at the former Anderson Little Co. for over twenty two years and enjoyed sewing and cooking. Beloved mother of Claudio (wife-Phyllis), Maria, Juliet and Ernie Silva; grandmother of David, Christine and Rachel Silva; sister of Joao Carreiro and the late Maria, Manuel, Honorato and Norberto Branco and Gloria Medeiros. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held Saturday, April 2, 2011, from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, located at 730 Bedford Street in Fall River. Her Funeral Mass was offered in St Anthony of Padua Church on Saturday, April 2, followed by a committal service at St Patrick Cemetery.
