Diamantino Caetano Diniz, 85, formerly of Rolling Green, passed away Sunday at Crawford Nursing Home. Born in Terceira, Azores, son of the late Francisco Caetano and Ana Leonore (DaSilva) Diniz. In Terceira, he worked at the US Air Force and, after immigrating here, he worked at the former Quaker Fabrics. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church, where he served as a collector. Long-time companion of Isabel Paulino and widow of Irene (Borges) Dinis, he is survived by, two sons, Jorge H. Dinis and Diamantino M. Diniz; 3 daughters, Maria Leonore Fagundes, Nelia Gomes and Elsa Rebello; 11 grandchildren, Gary and Emmanuel Fagundes, Steven Dinis, Maria Imonti, Jeffrey and Alison Gomes, Jordan, Adam and Brendan Diniz, Evan and Alex Rebello; 4 great grandchildren, Izaiah and Davien Fagundes, Henry Imonti and Mason Gomes; several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, July 23rd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
