Diane (Teixeira) Amaral, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Novemeber 26, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Westport and was a daughter of the late David and Alice (Ponte) Teixeira. She is also the eldest sister to the late Susan Teixeira and the late Janet (Teixeira) Garcia and granddaughter to the late Alice (Forneiro) Ponte "Vavo".  Diane graduated from Westport High School class of  1976 and worked various jobs throughout her lifetime including: office work at the former Louis Hand, Lepage's Seafood, Sampson's Farm, and  a mental health counselor. She was a great woman, who  enjoyed taking care of her family, when needed,  and was a bit of a fashionista. She is survived by her two sisters, Jean (Teixeira) Andrew  and Ann (Teixeira) Carreiro and her husband, Eduardo Mota, all of Fall River, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, December 2nd, in Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, followed by her commital at St. Patricks Cemetery in Fall River.
