Diane Lynn (Crawford) Darling, 78, of Fall River, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 24th, 2026.

She was the beloved wife of Eric H. Darling, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.

Born in Hackensack, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Huling) Crawford.

Along with her husband, Diane was an active member of the Unitarian Church in Fall River. She truly lived a life centered on caring for and helping people in any way that she could, most recently working as a Certified Activities Assistant at Crawford Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Her role as a mother was absolutely cherished and one of the greatest blessings in her life was being "Ma" to her great granddaughter Lilliana Darling for the years Lilliana and her mother Bryana Silvia lived with Diane and Eric. Diane enjoyed listening to music, reading and was a skilled crafter, having made numerous knit and crochet items for family and friends. She spent years proudly supporting and encouraging her children through activities like leading Girl Scouts and attending countless music lessons and performances. Diane often became a second mother to her children's friends.

She was the loving mother of Alison Darling of Fall River, Steven Darling of Centreville, VA, Eric C. Darling and his wife Kellie of Dighton, and Aaron Darling and his wife Lori of Red Oak Texas; Aunt of Margaret Crawford of Fall River, and Sister of William Crawford of Fall River. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Diane's wishes, private arrangements were held by Silva-Faria Funeral Home.

Please omit flowers. Donations made in her memory to the Unitarian Church in Fall River, 309 North Main St., Fall River, MA 02720, would be greatly appreciated.
