Dinarte S. Mendonca, 52, of Fall River, passed away Friday after a long illness. Husband of Margarida (Tavares) Mendonca. Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of Silvina Ferreira of Canada and the late Manuel Mendonca. A construction worker, Dino played soccer for various local teams and was a member of the Don Carlos Club. He was the beloved father of Andrew, Austin, and Erica Mendonca all of Fall River; grandfather of Anthony Barbosa; brother of Frank Mendonca, Maria do Rosario Teixeira, Aldina Camara and Maria dos Anjos Costa, all of Canada, and the late Nemesio (his twin) and Luis Mendonca. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, January 12th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
