Dolores Arruda, 82, of Fall River, widow of Thomas P. Arruda, died Saturday 11/1/14 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born in, and a lifelong resident of, Fall River, daughter of the late John & Delphina (Domingos) Arruda, she had worked for many years in the local garment industry, at former Stafford Garment and former Trina Mfg, and was a member of ILGWU (now UNITE). Mother of Debra Medeiros (companion Brian Pelletier) of Fall River; sister of Albert "Cal" Pedro, Alice Potvin & Constance Reis all of Fall River, and the late John, Alfred & Ed Pedro. Also survived by: 3 grandchildren, Courtney McQuaid (husband Stephen), Nathan (wife Tanya) & Michael Medeiros; 2 great grandchildren, Riley & Collin; several nieces & nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, November 6, in St Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
