Dolores R. Pavao, 82, of Fall River, beloved wife of Manuel C. Pavao, Jr., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River.  Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. Furtado, Jr. and the late Mary (Guimar) Furtado. Prior to her retirement she was a machine operator in the local garment industry for many years, worked in the Fall River school system and for the Catholic diocese.  A parishioner of Espírito Santo Church, she also was a member of the Holy Rosary Society. She adored her loving family, cooking, sewing, and reading. Dolores also enjoyed dancing and traveling extensively to such places as Medugorie, Austria, Madeira, Lisbon, Cascais, Hutchison Island and Pompano Beach in Florida, Charlestown, SC, Savannah, Ga.  and the Azores. Fall was her favorite time of year and she loved traveling through the New England states enjoying her family and the foliage. Dolores is survived by her loving husband Manuel who she was married to for 59 wonderful years, her loving daughter, Elizabeth Millett and her husband, Michael, (who she loved like a son) of Berkley; Brother in law George "Bob" Barboza (who she loved like a brother) of Westport, Ma., Great friend Lawrence Oliveira of Fall River, Ma. and several nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary Irene Barboza, Manuel R. Furtado, Jessie R. Furtado, and Joseph R. Furtado, Jr.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, November 5th, in Espírito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery. , 1540 Stafford Rd., Fall River, Ma 02721.
