Donald K. Costa, Sr., 64, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday unexpectedly. Husband of Phyllis (Levrault) Costa. Born in Fall River, son of the late Marianno and Cecelia (Borges) Costa. A retired bus driver, he worked for SRTA in Fall River for several years. Active in the political community, Don served on the Fall River Planning Board for 12 years and on the Democratic National Committee for which he was appointed by former mayor Ed Lambert. He enjoyed riding his Harley and attending Red Sox spring training games. Father of Donald K. Costa, Jr. (fiancee - Lucy Pereira) and Debra Ronca (husband - William); brother of Patricia Martin, Richard A. Costa and the late Sandra Aubin; grandfather of Michelle & Thomas Proulx, Sebastian and Sara Costa; great grandfather of Tiffany Fontes; nephew of Frank & Irene Borges. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was offered on Monday, December 13, in St. Theresa Church, Tiverton, followed by a committal service at Notre Dame Cemetery.
