Donald Oliver "Stretch" Ferreira, 80, of Swansea, passed on July 6, 2015. He was the husband of Carolyn (Mathews) Ferreira for 60 years. Born in Fall River, he was the brother of Robert Ferreira, and the late James "Skippy" Ferreira. He was employed with Bush Cleaners, Gold Medal Bakery, before retiring from Swansea Highway Dept. Don loved his N.E. Patriots & Boston Red Sox, was an avid golfer & member of Swansea Country Club, and a world traveler cruising the high seas. He is survived by: his daughter, Debra M. Chace of CO; his son, Scott "Choo" Ferreira, & his wife Sheila (Pineault) Ferreira, of Somerset; 1 granddaughter, Eleesha Chace of CO; several nieces & nephews; and his beloved cat, Bootsie. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, July 9th, in St Francis of Assisi Church followed by his committal at St Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
