Donald E. Shulenburg, Sr., 81, of Fall River, husband of the late Madeline (Costa) Shulenburg, died Friday 5/21/10 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Rochester, NY, he was a son of the late George & Blanche (Horswell) Shulenburg. He was employed with Cumberland Farms for many years, retiring in the late 1990s. A US Army veteran of the Korean War, he was also a member of the former St. Elizabeth's Church. Survivors include: sons, Robert A. Shulenburg of Middleburg, FL, Donald E. Jr., Joseph L. & Maurice P. Shulenburg all of Fall River; daughters, Deborah A. Gauthier, Claudia P. Mattos & Robin M. Shulenburg all of Fall River; a sister, Julie Jayne of Fairport, NY; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by 5 siblings. His funeral Mass was celebrated in Holy Trinity Parish Church. He was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
