Donna Marie DeMello, 57, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital following a long illness. Born in Fall River, she was the youngest child of the late Norman Manuel DeMello and the late Ann (Mooney) DeMello. She is preceded in death by her only child, Kyle Michael DeMello.

Donna was an avid reader, particularly of mysteries. She also loved to cook and attended the Culinary Arts program at Johnston and Wales University. She enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army, particularly with physically challenged children. In her younger days she was a skilled dancer, skateboarder and biker. A true homebody, she enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. But what was most important to Donna was spending quality time with all of her family both here in Fall River and in Charlotte, North Carolina.

She leaves her loving siblings, Greg DeMello and his partner, William, of Taunton, Richard DeMello of New Bedford, and Rosemary DeMello of Fall River; her two grandchildren, Austin and Ashton; and numerous cousins.

Following a private cremation, Her Memorial Service was held on Monday, January 22nd, during a visitation period in our Fall River Chapel. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Donna's memory to: My Brother's Keeper, P.O. Box 70273, North Dartmouth, MA 02747.
