Obituary

Donna M. Farias, 76, of Tiverton, RI, wife of Anthony J. Farias, Jr., passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Mary Mosteiro.

Prior to her retirement, Donna was employed for over 50 years as a bookkeeper for various local area businesses, such as Manning Auto Parts, Coronet Print, Myer Regan & Wilner CPA, and Nate Lyons. She enjoyed reading, but mostly she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Besides her husband of 55 years, she is survived by: two children, Anthony J. Farias III (wife Cecile) of Tiverton, RI, and Christine M. Carr (husband Robert) of Little Compton, RI; five grandchildren, Alex Farias, Kyle Farias, Robert J Carr Jr, Mikhayla Carr, and Lileigh Carr; five siblings, Donald Mosteiro of Fall River, John DeMello and Joanne Pereira both of Tiverton, RI, Theresa Sanchez of Florida, and Amara Pina of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her brother, Wayne DeMello.

Following a private cremation, a memorial service was held on Saturday, April 26th, during a visitation period in our Fall River Chapel. A private committal service and interment of her cremains took place on April 28th at Pocasset Hill Cemetery in Tiverton, RI.
