Doris (Martin) Almeida, 93, of Somerset, wife of the late John D. Almeida, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was a daughter of the late John Martin and the late Doris (Shaw) Martin. Doris was raised by her grandparents on the family farm in Tiverton, RI.

Doris loved to sew and garden. Most notably, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved being their caretaker and watching them grow. She found pure joy on the ballroom dance floor, where her grace, spirit, and love of dancing lit up every room she entered.

She leaves her children, Gary S. Almeida, of California, Lance Almeida and his wife Elaine, of Somerset, and Darryl Almeida, of Fall River; grandchildren, Craig and his wife Miquela, Erica, Garrett, Brian, Courtney, and Randi Lynn and her husband Joshua; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Marley; and sister, Florine Martin Miller, of Florida.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Visitation to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 10:00 am in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River. Committal Service and interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
