Obituary

Doris M. Viera of Tiverton, RI, wife of the late Robert C. Viera, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Sunday morning, October 2, 2022 after suffering a long-term illness. Doris was born in Fall River on July 23, 1942, to the late Anita I. (Banville) Margle.

She leaves her daughter Sharleen A. Phillips and husband Gerald W. Phillips, daughter Jacqueline M. Levesque, son Gary M. Souza and wife Donna Souza, daughter Phyllis J. Botelho and long-time companion Joseph Souza, daughter Jessica L. Viera and long-time companion George Nathanson. Doris was a loving grandmother to Danielle M. Roy (husband Geoff Roy), Rebecca L. Levesque, Kyle B. Levesque (wife Leakena Louch), Hannah A. Getschmann, Chad Bergeron, Jamie Bergeron, and the late Kayla L. Botelho and Henry Bergeron.Doris is also remembered as a loving Nana to Alexandra M. Levesque, Corianna M. Roy, Christian A. Roy, Lilianna M. Chouinard, Nathan A. Chouinard, seven other great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Doris moved from Fall River to Dunnellon, FL where she resided for more than 15 years. She moved back to New England after retiring from the Ocala Board of Health. She found joy in gardening, reading, and listening to music. Doris also loved video games on her computer, watching fantasy/sci-fi, horror and crime films, as well as traveling.

There will be no visitation services or funeral for Doris as per her wishes. The family will hold a "Remembrance of Life" service at a future date. Family members are always grateful for relatives and friends wishing to make in-person expressions of kindness and support.
