Dorothy (Costa) Farias, 83, of Tiverton, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2009 after an extended illness. She was the wife of Joseph Farias. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late John & Angelina (Rodrigues) Costa. A Tiverton resident for 50 years, she was a retired textile worker and belonged to the Ponta Delgada Women's Auxiliary. Survivors include a son, Thomas Cox of Fall River; stepchildren, Angelina, Joan, Eileen, Ann, Joe and Tom; grandchildren, Pamela, Sherry, Tom Jr. and Scott; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Natasha, Courtney, Alicia, Katie, Cynthia, Tommy and Bobby; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Pallbearers Morris Shulenburg, John, Joseph and Jason Farias, John Grilly and Tom Cox Jr. brought Dorothy to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
