Dorothy Santos, 87, of Fall River passed away Saturday after a short illness. Widow of John R. Santos. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel P. and Maria (Duarte) Teixeira. A retired textile worker, she was one of the original members of the local ILGWU. Beloved mother of John Santos, Jr., Audrey Jeffries (husband-Gerard) and Doreen Caine (husband-James); grandmother of Mandy Dias Grotta, Jessica and Rebecca Jeffries; great grandmother of Emma; sister of the late Evelyn Hebert, Laura Garcia, Edward, James and Joseph Teixeira. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church. She was laid to rest at St. Patrick Cemetery.
