Dorothy Torres, 90, formerly of Kenneth Ave., Somerset, MA, passed away Sunday in Conneautville, PA. Widow of Antone Torres to whom she was married for 45 years. Born in Fall River, MA, daughter of the late Peter and Nora (Rego) Mello. Along with her son, she ran the former North Swansea Food Store before they moved to PA 15 years ago. She was the beloved mother of Steven Torres of Meadville, PA; loving grandmother of Jason and Matthew Torres; sister of Inez Mello of New Bedford, MA, and the late Raymond and Peter Mello; aunt of Nancy Lewin, Debra Gwen Mello and Jill Zdraveski; godmother of Jonathan Nogueira, Randolph Morgan, Kelsey and Kacie Lewin. Special thanks to the staff of Rolling Fields who cared for her these past 5 years. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 29, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. In her memory, donations can be made to Rolling Fields Dorothy Torres Memorial Fund, 9108 State Hwy 198, Conneautville, PA 16406.
