Edith Buker, 70, wife of Donald A. Buker, Jr., of Westport, died unexpectedly on Friday at home. Born in St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jose A. and Angelina (Moniz) Moniz, she emigrated to Fall River in 1959 – residing in Westport for the past 41 years. A hairdresser for over 40 years, she worked at The Gold Room Beauty Salon on Second St, retiring just this past August. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and loved animals. Besides her husband of 45 years, she leaves two sisters, Maria dos Anjos Raposa and Maria Jose Amaral; several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Service was officiated by Fr. Brian Albino in our Fall River Chapel on Wednesday, February 26, followed by her committal at Beech Grove Cemetery in Westport.
