Edmund J. Martin, 90, of Westport, husband of the late Marilyn (Miranda) Martin, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center.  Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Manuel Martin and Irene (St. Onge) Martin.

Edmund owned and operated Martin's Auto Repair in Westport for many years. He earned the trust of many loyal, repeat customers and was a longtime racing enthusiast who spent many years at Seekonk Speedway, both racing and supporting his son.  Above all, he was a devoted family man who worked hard to provide for his loved ones and treasured time spent with family.

He is survived by: his two children, Richard P. Martin of East Freetown and Susan Fowler and her husband, Erik, of Laconia, New Hampshire; his brother, John Martin of Fall River; his three grandchildren, Devin, Dylan, and Missy Bridgwater; his three step-grandchildren, Patrick, Evan, and Kate Fowler; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three sisters, Doris Cestodio, Phyllis Fragoza, and Marie Burns.

Private arrangements are under the care of the Silva-Faria Funeral Home.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
