Eduarda (Medeiros) Rodrigues, 76, of Somerset, formerly of Fall River, widow of Jose T. Rodrigues, died Sunday 8/30/09 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Ribeira Grande, St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jose J. & Mariana (Medeiros) Costa, she emigrated to Fall River in 1974, residing in Somerset for the past 8 years. A floor lady in the local textile industry, she retired from Whaling Mfg at an early age due to disability. Survivors include: children, Jose P. Rodrigues & Fatima Raposo both of Fall River, Maria Celeste Silva & Lucia Aguiar both of Somerset, Ana Avelar of Berkley, Manuela Oliveira of New Bedford; sisters, Ilda Arruda, Fatima Sandoval, Ana Correia & Rosa Melo all of Fall River, Salome Lopes of Westport; 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was also sister of several predeceased siblings. Her Funeral Mass was offered on Thursday (9/3) in Espirito Santo Church. Committal services followed at Notre Dame Cemetery.
