Eduardo J. Paiva, 78, of Fall River, husband of Adelina J. (Pacheco) Paiva, passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, August 12, 2022, after a long illness. Born in St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Joao Paiva and the late Maria (Silva) Paiva, he emigrated to Fall River in 1968.

He was employed for many years with the former Towle Silversmiths of Dighton and had also worked with the former American Dryer (now Whirlpool). Eduardo enjoyed watching soccer and boxing.

Besides his wife, of 51 years, he is survived by: a son David E. Paiva (wife Jenna) of Fall River; two brothers, Joao Paiva and Gil Paiva both of Fall River; three grandchildren, Skylah Davis, Kelsie Davis, and Jameson Paiva; and several nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Jose Paiva.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, August 17th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Eduardo's memory to Southcoast VNA, 200 Mill Road, Suite 120, Fairhaven, MA 02719; 508-973-3200
