Eduardo Pereira, 81, of Westport the husband of Maria Inês (Medeiros) Pereira  passed away on Tuesday, October, 8, 2019. Eduardo was born in Agua de Pau and a son of the late Eugenio and Diamantina (Furtado) Pereira. He had been employed for many years at the former Foxboro Company. Eduardo was a handy man. He took great pride in his work. Mr. Pereira loved his animals. Eduardo loved his grape vine and  his vegetable garden and he enjoyed making his special brew of homemade wine.  He passed on his work ethic and skills to his children. Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by: 3 children, Edward Pereira and his wife Elizabeth, of Bolton, Ontario, Marie Adaes and her husband Alberto of Swansea, and Neli Costa of Swansea; 7 grandchildren, Carly Ann Pereira, Zachary Adaes, Joseph Pereira, Anais Costa, Javiah Costa, Samantha Botelho, and Matthew Botelho; 5 siblings, Maria Afonso, Germina Pacheco, both of Fall River, Fernando Pereira of Agua de Pau, St. Michael, Lurdes Bizarro of Guelph, Ontario, and Julia Piques of Georgetown, Ontario ; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of 12 late siblings.  His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, October 11th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
