Eduino C. Mota, 90, of Fall River and husband of Exaltina (Peixoto) Mota, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Fall River Health Care Center. Born in Lomba da Maia, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel Couto Mota and the late Ana Julio Mota.

Prior to his retirement, he worked for American Tourister for many years. He loved being outdoors, gardening, tending to his grapevines, and making his own wine.

Besides his wife of fifty-three years, he leaves: his children, Michael Mota and his wife, Lisa McCormack, Paul George Mota, both of Fall River, and Susana Desmarais and her husband, Dale, of Freetown; his five grandchildren, Macy McCormack, Morgan McCormack, Hailey Desmarais, Marissa Desmarais, and Allen Mota; one great-granddaughter, Zoey Mota; his sister, Germana Moniz (late husband, Joseph) of Fall River; a brother, Germano Mota (late wife, Mary de Lourdes) of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.

His Funeral Service was held on Saturday, November 20th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Eduino's memory to a charity of one's choice.
