Edward F. Kelly, 83, of Somerset, husband of the late Beverly J. (Mello) Kelly, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 15, 2023. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Edward and Harriet (Smith) Kelly, he resided in Somerset for the past 40 years.

Having earned a bachelor's degree in education at Bridgewater State College, Edward was employed as a history and economics teacher for many years at B. M. C. Durfee High School. He also worked as a bartender at Magoni's Restaurant in Somerset and at the Fall River Country Club. Edward was also a member of the Belmont Club.

He enjoyed traveling, annual trips to Saratoga for the horse races, and weekly dinner with friends.

He is survived by: three children, Peter S. Furtado of Somerset, Teddi-Lynn Haddad (husband Peter) of Falmouth, and Karyn Kelly of Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren, Hannah Brainer, Kiana Diggs, Quinton Diggs, and Kylie Abdow; two great grandsons, Santi and Leyo; a brother, James Kelly; and a sister, Harriet Kelly.

Following cremation, His Memorial Service was held on Friday, December 29th, in our Fall River Chapel.
