Edward P. Medeiros, 88, of Somerset, passed away Thursday at Clifton Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Mary (Ferreira) Medeiros. Born in Fall River, son of the late Antonio & Maria (Botelho) Medeiros Cardoso. He grew up in the Azores and came back to Fall River in 1943. Edward worked in construction for the former Sherry Construction Co. then the Campanella Construction Co., and he belonged to the Laborer's Union Local #610. In winters, he worked at the former Sagamore Mills. Survivors include sons, Joseph Medeiros of Citrus Springs, FL and Daniel Medeiros of Sautee Nacoochee, GA; a daughter, Linda Botelho of Fall River; a brother, Jose Medeiros Cardoso of the Azores; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was also father of the late Edward Medeiros, Jr. and Paul Medeiros; brother of the late Manuel Medeiros Cardoso, Olivia Moniz and Gilda Medeiros Cardoso. His funeral Mass was celebrated at St. John of God Church. He was laid to rest at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
