Edward J.
Pedro
d. Dec 4, 2022
Edward J. Pedro, 65, long-time resident of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Edward Pedro and the late Dorothy (Furtado) Pedro and a 1975 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School.
Prior to his retirement, he was a shipping manager for Robinson Plumbing Supply for many years and a former co-owner of Horsefeathers Restaurant and Bar. An avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, he also loved camping on Cape Cod, meticulously taking care of his truck and camper, and traveling to such places as Charlestown, Rhode Island, Philadelphia, and Cape Cod. But what was most important to Edward was spending quality time with all of his family.
Besides his long-time companion of twenty-three years, Betty Parker, he leaves his children, Melinda Pedro of Swansea and Stephen Pedro of Fall River; his sister, Susan Pedro of Fall River; his aunt, Constance Reis (late husband, Joseph) of Fall River; an uncle, Thomas Furtado and his wife, Bernadette of Rehoboth; and many loving cousins. He also leaves his beloved dog, Adele.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, December 9th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church. A private committal followed at St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Edward's memory to: St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or MSPCA (Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), 293 2 nd Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
